Make ready maintenance involves preparing an apartment home for a future resident with the goal to make the apartment “as good as new.” To achieve this goal, however, maintenance professionals need more than just their hands, tools, and a checklist. Indeed, they must learn how to see a just-vacated apartment through the eyes of the future resident, as well as those of the management team or owner.

When a future resident walks into the apartment, they're thinking “home.” When your supervisor or owner walks into the apartment, they're thinking, “Does this apartment meet our community’s move-in standards?” In other words, make-readies demand your full attention and care whenever you do them.

TRAINING IS HANDS-ON!

WHAT TO EXPECT: High energy, fun and hands-on! This new training space was built for maintenance professionals BY maintenance professionals. The HOME Room is state of the art but allows maintenance teams to get their hands dirty by not only learning how to fix something but by truly fixing it in the classroom setting.

The HOME Room is nothing like a typical classroom environment. Yes, there are tables, chairs and a screen for a PowerPoint, but this space offers flexibility and encourages students to get up, move around and dive into the equipment they have at their fingertips.
