AAMD Launches Housing4Colorado.org, New Public Education Resource for Renters
In conjunction with the 2019 Education Conference and Trade Show, the Apartment Association of Metro Denver officially launched Housing4Colorado.org, a platform which provides various resources, housing news, and frequently asked questions to help Colorado renters and home seekers find attainable and suitable housing.
“We built Housing4Colorado.org as a one-stop shop for renters and others seeking housing options to better navigate Colorado’s unique and, sometimes, confusing marketplace,” explains Mark Williams, Executive Vice President for AAMD. “This website was created by community members, for community members, to help solve an issue that requires the community to roll up their sleeves and unite.”
In addition to new and updated content with respect to renters’ rights, Housing4Colorado.org offers easy-to-understand infographics, videos and other tools to help renters find the best housing options within their budget.
Superintendent Patrick Demmer, pastor of Church Of God In Christ, affirms Housing4Colorado.org as a first-of-its-kind repository of information for both renters and home owners:
“We live in a vibrant and growing city, full of diverse groups who have moved to Denver to experience its beauty and economic opportunity. What has inevitably followed is an increasing demand for affordable housing. Our community must find localized, creative solutions that will not harm the very people it is trying to help.
“Housing4Colorado is a great example of addressing housing concerns locally to connect and educate Coloradans on questions around housing challenges. This platform will undoubtedly service the needs of Denver residents and pave the way for long term affordable housing solutions.”
Housing4Colorado.org welcomes new partnerships and opportunities for collaboration across the state. For more information or to join this growing alliance, please contact Christopher Dean at cdean@aamdhq.org.
