Hosting Vaccine Clinics for Senior Residents

Beginning in January of 2021, Volunteers of America senior housing properties hosted vaccine clinics through a national partnership with a vaccine distributor. VOA was able to arrange these vaccinations for vulnerable senior residents and frontline staff. Vaccination availability began at VOA properties including Meadows at Montbello, Sunset Towers, Westgate Tower, Sunset Park, and Laurel Gardens, then expanded to the organization’s properties statewide.

The process to distribute vaccinations effectively was a true team effort at each building, thanks to Community Administrators, Service Coordinators, and Maintenance Techs. Through these clinics VOA was able to vaccinate hundreds of residents and employees, enhancing the health and safety of the community, while continuing to serve those most in need. The pandemic has been a defining moment in history, and VOA is proud to be a part of the solution by bringing this life-saving vaccine to seniors who need it most.
